\n\"Kima<\/a>As most of you know, I have been very close to Xavier Niel, the founder of Iliad, for a decade now. I was lucky to meet Xavier when I was much more famous as an entrepreneur than he was (I\u2019m told I\u2019m good at PR\u00a0;-)) … but Xavier had just launched Free.fr<\/a>, and then everyone saw that company\u2019s exponential growth.

Since that time, there probably hasn\u2019t been a week where I haven\u2019t been in touch with Xavier. He and I share the same passion\u00a0: an endless appetite for new technologies and their applications with end users. We have exchanged thousands of emails over the past few years, over thousands of different topics. That\u2019s how I was lucky to discover the Freebox many months before its official launch, to introduce Xavier to the founders of Deezer where he became the first investor, and to co-invest with him in many startups.<\/p>\n

Up until now we were simply very good friends… now we are true partners.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m announcing that we have just cofounded KIMA Ventures<\/a>, a new seed venture capital firm, active all over the world.<\/p>\n

Our goal is to invest in 100 startups in the internet\/mobile\/telecom\/video games sectors over the next 2 years, including companies that create video games or offer csgo boosting<\/span><\/a>. Yes, that\u2019s right, 100 startups. We aim to finance them as early as possible with investments from 5K to 150K euros per company.<\/p>\n

Our goal is not just to create a simple venture firm but a true ecosystem of international companies that can work together and share with one another. So the portfolio companies will not just get money from us, but access to our experience and our global network of relationships.<\/p>\n

We intend to co-invest with other international business angels with whom we already have, or intend to have, really strong relationships.<\/p>\n

We have already invested in several companies, and we will let you know about them in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

\nBeaucoup d’entre vous le savent, je suis tr\u00e8s proche de Xavier Niel, le fondateur d’Iliad, depuis une dizaine d’ann\u00e9es. J’ai eu la chance de faire la connaissance de Xavier \u00e0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 mon nom d’entrepreneur \u00e9tait bien plus connu que le sien (je suis bon communicant il parait ;-)) …mais Xavier venait de lancer Free.fr dont tout le monde a suivi l’ascension exceptionnelle.<\/p>\n

Depuis cette \u00e9poque, il n’a pas d\u00fb se passer une semaine sans que je sois en contact avec Xavier. Lui et moi partageons la m\u00eame passion: un app\u00e9tit infini pour les nouvelles technologies et leurs applications chez les utilisateurs. Nous avons \u00e9chang\u00e9 des milliers de mails au cours de ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, sur des milliers de sujets diff\u00e9rents. J’ai d’ailleurs eu la chance de d\u00e9couvrir la Freebox de longs mois avant son lancement officiel, de pr\u00e9senter Xavier aux fondateurs de Deezer dont il est devenu le premier investisseur et nous avons investi ensemble dans de nombreuses startup.<\/p>\n

Nous \u00e9tions jusque l\u00e0 de simples tr\u00e8s bons amis…d\u00e9sormais, nous sommes de v\u00e9ritables associ\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Je vous annonce que nous venons de co-fonder KIMA Ventures<\/a>, un nouveau fond d’investissement en amor\u00e7age de startup dans le monde entier.<\/p>\n

Notre objectif est d’investir dans 100 startup Internet\/Mobile\/Applications Telecom\/Jeux Video au cours des 2 prochaines ann\u00e9es.Oui vous avez bien lu, 100 startup que nous allons financer le plus t\u00f4t possible dans leur d\u00e9veloppement avec des investissements allant de 5 \u00e0 150 000 euros par entreprise.<\/p>\n

Notre objectif n’est pas seulement de cr\u00e9er un simple fond d’investissement mais un v\u00e9ritable \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me d’entreprises internationales qui pourront travailler et \u00e9changer ensemble.
